Yasawa edge Bua in semi-final match

The undefeated Cakaunitabua (Bua) rugby players fought back tears as the team lost for the first time in this year’s Vodafone Vanua Cup Challenge bowing out with a 21-20 semi-final score against Yasawa.

Bua coach Epeli Kalou thanked his boys for a terrific season.

“We’ve played our best and we thank God for his protection and guidance throughout the season ”

Yasawa coach Iliesa Tanivula described the match against Bua as one that tested the strength of his players.

“Bua is a great team and we studied their games over the past weeks and any coach would do that.”

Yasawa will now face Macuata in the finals.
