A WEAK trough of low pressure lies over the northeastern parts of the group and is gradually moving east away from the country.

The weather bulletin issued from the National Weather Forecasting Centre in Nadi  says an associated cloud and showers are expected to affect the northern and eastern parts of the country till later today.

The forecast to midnight tomorrow for the Fiji group expect cloudy periods with some showers over the eastern parts of Vanua Levu and Lau group.

Showers gradually clearing today with cloudy periods with brief showers over the southern and eastern parts of the other larger islands.

Mainly fine weather elsewhere and cool nights.

Also expect moderate south to southeast winds, fresh at times with moderate to rough seas.

The outlook for Friday, fine apart from brief showers over the eastern parts and interior of the larger islands.

Mainly fine weather elsewhere and cool at night.
