FAMILY and friends of one of Fiji’s outstanding sports administrators, Dennis Miller gathered at the Sacred Heart Cathedral earlier today to celebrate the life of someone who was instrumental in the development of sports in the country.

Miller’s son, John Miller said the outpouring support from everyone had reminded the family of the impact their Dad had made in the sporting community.

“I was living in a bubble and didn’t realise how important Dad was in the sporting family and the magnitude of the many different lives that he touched while carrying out these roles, not only in swimming but in all sports in the region,” said Miller.

The body of the late Dennis Miller was taken on its final trip to the Damodar City Aquatic Centre where members of the Fiji Swimming fraternity bid farewell to their friend and mentor before it made its way to the Nasinu Crematorium.

The late Dennis Miller is survived by his wife Glynis Miller and three children.
