Tongan coach Toutai Kefu said he was impressed with the latest additions into the Super Rugby competition, the Moana Pasifika and the Swire Shipping Fijian Drua team.

The former Wallaby sang praises of the Fijian Drua which proved critics wrong in their first season.

“I was really impressed with the Drua,” Kefu said.

“They played very good rugby and they are going to get better.”

Ikale Tahi captain Sonatane Takulua shared the same sentiments saying it was nice to have Pacific representation in Super Rugby.

“I think it is nice to have Pacific teams in Super Rugby,” said Takalua.

“It is an advantage for Samoa and Tonga to have Moana Pasifika where we can call players from. It is good for the young talents coming through like the Fijian Drua. They had a really good season in Super Rugby and I think the future is going to be certainly exciting with a lot of young talents coming from the three islands.”
