“I’m built different.”
These were the words of local boxer Mohammed Ali, son of local boxing veteran ‘The Razor’ Farzan Ali, in response to Gabriel Ravalawa as they prepare to battle it out in the Super Lightweight contest of the 2023 FMF Boxing Series under Tuwai Boxing Promotions.
Mohammed said fans could expect an exciting fight next weekend at the FMF Gymnasium in Suva.
“I’m calling out to the people of Fiji to come out in numbers and watch us boxers rock the ring this coming weekend,” Mohammed said.
He also mentioned that he had been waiting for a chance to fight Ravalawa and could not wait to share the ring with him.
“I’ve been waiting for so long for this fight, and I have been preparing well.”
Mohammed said there had been a lot of challenges in his preparation for this particular fight, but had remained positive throughout.
“There have been plenty of people who have been underestimating me, and now I will show them on the national stage what I am made of.
“But I have been training very hard over the past few weeks now, and I am expecting a good fight.”
He said Ravalawa was a spectacular fighter, and their bout would not be an easy one, but one that would be full of fireworks and surprises.
“That’s why I’m calling out to the fans to come in numbers and watch us battle it out.”
The two will face each other at the Tuwai Boxing Promotions to be held at Suva’s FMF Gymnasium next Saturday.
