Ba thrashed Suva 3-0 in the 11th round of the Digicel Premier League at Ratu Cakobau Park in Nausori yesterday.

The ‘Men In Black’ were unstoppable as they took every opportunity in defending their territory.

Ba scored the first goal by Saula Waqa after a rebound from Savenaca Nakalevu to give Waqa the opportunity to score 1-0. Both teams made several attempts, but Ba was determined and took every opportunity to score.

Ba Coach Imdad Ali saluted his boys for their awesome performance. He said the boys gave their one hundred per cent.

“Hats off to Suva for giving us the opportunity to showcase our talents,” he said.

“My boys stood tall, they really gave a good game to Suva, especially to our goalkeeper Tevita Koroi for standing out and defending our goalmouth well.

“Koroi set the standard for our players and he made a lot of saves.”

Ba scored two goals in the second spell — Etonia Dogolau in the 51st minute and Manasa Nawakula three minutes later. Suva coach Babz Khan was disappointed with the outcome of the match.

“It was disappointing because we did not do some things that we practised in training,” he said.

“We had the possession, but Ba went in and scored goals. We had a game plan, but we didn’t work according to it.”
