THE champion Ba football team has reset its focus for the upcoming Oceania Football League game after beating the star-studded Lautoka side to win the Pillay Garments Champion Vs Champion series over the weekend.

Team manager Arvind Singh said beating Lautoka on their home turf for two consecutive matches was sweet.

He congratulated his players for their effort and at the same time reminded them on the all-important O’League campaign.

“To beat an all-star Lautoka team speaks volume of the calibre of our boys, especially the young players,” said Singh.

“We always have faith on our home-grown talents and we are proud with the way they defeated the Lautoka side.

“We have four high school students in the side and these youngsters proved their worth in the team.

“Surely these players will be further exposed to high level games during the O’League.” Singh, however, said the side would also recruit few players from the region during the O’League.

“The O’League is a different ball game altogether and we will need the services of some top players outside Ba to combine with our boys.

“The CVC is history and our next focus is to do well at the O’League.”

Evergreen Malakai Tiwa, who successfully led the Men In Black in their CVC victory, is expected to lead the side again for the O’League.
