12 June, 2019, 12:30 pm
RESIDENTS living in parts of Koronivia outside of Nausori are being advised that they will be experiencing low water pressure from 9pm tonight, June 12 to 7am Thursday, June 13, 2019.
According to a statement by the Water Authority of Fiji (WAF), the interruption in supply is to allow WAF crew members to carry out cut-in works as well as to commission the new 250mm pipeline along the Kings Road, Davuilevu .
The works are part of the new ‘Four Lane Project’ by the Fiji Roads Authority.
The areas expected to be affected include Dalip Street, Raghu Raj Street, Mahendra Street, YPD – Davuilevu and customers residing along both sides of the road going towards Nausori along the Kings Road from the junction of Koronivia Road to the Rewa Bridge end.
The authority has advised customers residing in those areas to store and use water wisely for their immediate needs during this temporary disruption period.
For water carting requests, customers or residents in the area are to contact the Authority’s National Call Centre on 3346777 or 5777.
Supply is expected to gradually normalise by 7am on Thursday, June 13.
